6 Months later…

It has been six months since Storked! was published. While the book didn’t skyrocket straight to the New York Times Bestseller’s list (let’s face it, I’m not Prince Harry), two amazing things happened. My birth father attended the live book launch in New Hampshire AND my book was awarded an Honorable Mention for the 2022 Writer’s Digest Self-Published E-Book Awards. Neither of these seemed plausible as I began this crazy book writing experiment. I feel incredibly grateful.

So, what’s new for 2023? Become a better blogger? Win another award? Start my next writing project (yes, there is one in the works)? There are no guarantees here. My greatest accomplishment may just be spending time with a birth father I never got to know until recently – a father whose memory is fading thanks to Alzheimer’s. Our time together will likely be short, and I am not going to waste even one second. 2023 will be about living in the moment and appreciating whatever the day may bring.
